Using the Contact Status Change Trigger Node in Workflows

The Contact Status Change trigger node begins a workflow when a contact's status is changed to a specified status.

  1. Create a new workflow or edit an existing workflow.
    To create a new workflow, go to Automation > Workflows and click Create New Workflow.
    Note: If you created a new workflow, make sure you name it by clicking the pencil icon above the Node Palette.
  2. Drag the Contact Status Change trigger node on to the workflow canvas.
  3. Click the following text in the Contact Status Change trigger node: active/onbarding.
  4. Select the status the contact has changed to. You can select:
    • Active/Onboarding
    • Transactional
    • Unconfirmed
    • Unsubscribed/Bounced
    Note: When an email address is added to a mobile-only contact, that contact will qualify to go through the Contact Status Changed trigger node. The contact will only qualify if their contact status matches the status that has been selected in the node.
  5. Click Done
