API Send Queue Settings

If you enable Send Queue, all transactional emails will be placed in a queue, and most be flushed. Real-time sending is essentially disabled. It is highly recommended to flush this queue using the system cron, or the lowest available interval Magento cron.

  1. In Magento, go to System > Configuration.
  2. In the side menu, scroll until you see Bronto and click Advanced API.
  3. In the Settings section, these are the recommended settings:
    Enable Module: Yes
    Use Magento Cron Yes
    Frequency: Minute Intervals
    Interval: 5 minutes
    Start Time: 0:0:0
    Limit: 50
  4. Click Save Config.

API Retry Settings

During scheduled maintenance or the rare, unplanned outage, this feature will queue up any deliveries that are not sent to be retried later when Bronto’s API returns to its normal state. This applies to all modules: Reminder Emails, Transactional Emails and Review Requests.

  1. Go to System > Configuration.
  2. In the left menu, scroll until you see Bronto and click Advanced API.
  3. In the Settings section, these are the recommended settings:

    Enable Module: Yes
    Use Magento Cron Yes
    Frequency: Minute Intervals
    Interval: 5 minutes
    Start Time: 0:0:0
    Limit: 50
    Attempt Threshold: 5
  4. Click Save Config.
