SMS Compliance

Each SMS and MMS message that you send must comply with regulations stipulated by the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and the Bronto Permission Marketing Policy.

To be compliant, all SMS messages that you send from Bronto must include the following phrase:
Text STOP to end

Your Bronto account must send replies to contacts who request to unsubscribe, get help, or send an invalid keyword. Bronto provides default SMS compliance messages that you can use to reply to your contacts. You can edit the default messages, or delete them and create your own.

Note: Wireless carriers in the United States and Canada have different SMS compliance requirements. In Bronto, there are separate messages for each country. Bronto identifies the country of origin for each incoming SMS, and triggers the appropriate content.
