List Labels

List labels can be used to organize and visually group lists.

Labels allow you to group objects in the platform together in order to sort and compare related data. After a label is created you have the option of color coding the label so that you can use label colors to quickly identify related lists. You can also filter lists using labels and label colors.


To	Do This
Add a new label to a list	Click the Add/Remove Labels icon in the row associated with a list. On the Add labels tab, click the Add new radio button. Add a name for the label in the text box. Click Add Label. Click Save Changes. The new label is immediately created and applied to the list.
Add an existing label to a list	Click the Add/Remove Labels icon in the row associated with a list. On the Add labels tab, click the Select from existing radio button. Check the box next to the labels you want to add to the list. Click Add Label. Click Save Changes. The new label is immediately created and applied to the list.
Change the color of a list label	If this label is used on multiple lists, all instances of this label are updated to the new color. Click on the label in the lists grid. Click the color you want the list label to be. Click Save Changes.
Remove a label from a list	This only removes the label from this list. The label will maintain its association with any other lists it is currently associated with. Click the Add/Remove Labels icon in the row associated with a list. Click the Remove existing labels tab. Click the X for the labels you want to remove. Click Save Changes.
Edit the name of a list label	If this label is used on multiple lists, all instances of this label are updated to the new name. Click on the label in the lists grid. Type the new name where the current label name is. Click Save Changes.
Delete a list label	This deletes all instances of the list label. Click on the label in the lists grid. Select the Delete this label? box. Click Save Changes.
Filter the lists grid by label	Above the lists grid are two label-based filter options: Filter By Label list to filter the grid by a specific label. Filter By Label Color list to filter the grid by a specific label color.
